You can relax on the quiet island of Kauai, or spend your free time in Honolulu. Waikiki Beach?

The first thing that pops into most people’s minds when they hear the word Hawaii is Waikiki Beach, and if you are headed to the Aloha State, be sure and put Honolulu on your list. Waikiki is a two mile stretch of sand that is surrounded by hotels and resorts, but the water is still beautiful to swim in, and there are lots of water activities that will entertain you and your family and friends. You can rent a board and go surfing or snorkeling, or just lie on the beach and watch the world go by. If you want to spend some time at this popular beach, head up towards Diamond Head where you will find a huge picnic area and Kapiolani Park. Of course you cannot leave Waikiki without taking a paddle in an authentic outrigger canoe.
