Corfu Island is the second-largest of the Ionian Islands, and it was among the first Greek destinations which embraced mass tourism. Since then, it has been one of the most popular tourist destinations of all times. Celebrated by both backpackers and luxury tourists, this popular tourist spot offers an active night life and jaw dropping views. Corfu Island is most famous for its beautiful stretches of golden sandy beaches and the clear waters. Glyfada beach certainly holds the reputation of this place, and it is one of the best beaches in Corfu where you can spend a relaxing day in. According to legends, this is the beach where Odysseus washed up during the journey back to Ithaca. Relax on the beautiful beach, soak up the sun while lying on a sunbed and sip on some refreshing cocktails while enjoying the beautiful views of the Ionian Sea. Visiting this beach is truly a must during your holidays in Greece .

2. Hike the Corfu trail

The Corfu trail is just a paradise for hikers who visit the Greek islands of Corfu. This 222 kilometer long footpath covers the whole length of the Corfu Island. Hiking through this route is fairly easy, and doable for most of the people. You will get to see a lot of great views of the island, the cities, and the Ionic Sea while walking on this trail during your holidays in Corfu.

3. Go for a cruise on a yacht

Cruises to Greece are known to be one of the most scenic and luxurious cruise experiences on can ever have in their lives. You can get a small taste of that while you are in Corfu. The calm waters and the beautiful weather make Corfu Island an ideal place to go on cruising on a yacht. Exploring the beautiful islands and its beaches while relaxing on a private yacht will be one of the best experiences you will have in Corfu.

4. Go on a trip to Paleokastritsa

Paleokastritsa is undoubtedly one of the most dramatic spots in Corfu. Sitting on top of a ruined castle named Angelokastro, the rocky landscapes of Paleokastritsa will surely take your breath away. It is also home to some of the best beaches in Corfu and a number of coves. Each of the beach offers a different view with different facilities. You can take your first diving lesson at Ampelaki beach, or go on a glass bottom boat tour from the harbor of Alipa.
