7 Things You Must Pack for a Bachelorette Weekend

Travel Blog, Travel Tips - Ross French - September 21, 2022

Whether you’re heading to a bachelorette weekend as a guest or the bride-to-be, making sure you have everything you need can feel stressful. Bachelorette weekends are often vacations where rules are thrown out the window, anything goes, and you may even have specific costumes you need, and you want it all to fit into your carry-on!

Please don’t get overwhelmed or overthink it; it’s about celebrating the bride and your friendship at the end of the day. Expect the unexpected and roll with the punches, much like you need to during a wedding, but try and be prepared! Keep reading for everything you need to bring on your bachelorette weekend getaway.

Your LBD

The little black dress, or LBD, is a wardrobe staple everyone needs. This iconic fashion piece was given its status because, let’s face it; a little black dress works for virtually any event and with any dress code. Your version of the LBD may be a teal romper, but it is the one thing that you know you look phenomenal in and can work simultaneously at a club or a funeral. Pack your trust go-to, so you’re ready to go no matter what you girls get into!

Swimsuits

Whether this bachelorette weekend is also a tropical getaway or not, most bachelorette parties have some occasion to dress in swimwear. It could be a beach, a pool, or a hot tub, but you’ll want to pack at least one swimsuit to ensure you’re ready – even if you don’t think you’ll need one!

Snacks

Depending on how far away the bachelorette getaway is, you may need snacks for the plane or to eat on the road. But you’ll also want snacks when you get there. Even with an unlimited budget, bachelorette weekends can get expensive with going out to eat or heading out for drinks. Save you and the girls money by bringing several bottles of pink rose wine, supplies for a charcuterie board, and even a box of chocolates. You’ll all be grateful to have the snacks back at your hotel when you come in from a late night on the town.

Casual Day Outfits

Bachelorette weekends are notorious for how many photos are taken and posted on everyone’s social media. You don’t want to be caught looking tired during the day, so bringing along some casual day outfits that still keep you polished and pulled together is a must. From coordinated sets to flirty day dresses, whatever matches your style and you feel confident it should be a must-pack in your luggage.

The Right Accessories

Accessories have the power to make or break an outfit as well as elevate a day outfit in a snap. Of course, there may be a tiara, sashes, or even some party favor accessories handed out at the party that you need to bring too. But, having extra claw clips, hair elastics, and bobby pins can be a lifesaver for you and the rest of the girls. In addition to those, make sure you’ve got jewelry to amp up your outfit in case the girls decide they want to go somewhere with a fancier dress code for which you’d planned and packed.

Smart Shoes

Girls just want to have fun, which sometimes means bouncing from a restaurant to a pier to a club during a bachelorette weekend. While you’ll likely want to wear heels on these adventures, opt for a smart wedge heel instead of a stiletto. Your comfort and balance will thank you for them!

Rehydration Supplies

Let’s face it; sometimes, the party goes well into the wee hours during a bachelorette weekend. Be the girl who comes prepared for herself and has her friend’s back. Packing supplies like Advil, Gatorade, and even extra eye masks will easily make you the MVP of the weekend.

There will be other things you need to pack depending on your role for the party. Maybe you’re in charge of decorations; maybe you’re in charge of the music. In addition to the above things, you’ll want your travel documents, a small first aid kit, extra chargers for your phone, and some cash. But, by including the above-mentioned on your packing list, you can be less worried about what to bring and more focused on all the fun you’ll have together. Cheers!
