When you find yourself shopping for travel shoes for women, you’re sure to realize that there’s no shortage of options. That’s both a good thing and a bad thing. On the plus side, a larger selection increases the odds of finding the perfect fit. Conversely, the more options you have the more difficult it can be to make a final choice.

One of the best things you can do is consider multiple styles before making a purchase. With that in mind, here are four of the most comfortable travel shoe styles for women:

Sandals

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re traveling, there’s a good chance that you’ll want to take at least one pair of sandals with you on your trip. Maybe you take orthopedic sandals for women along because you know that your feet will begin acting up the more you walk. Or perhaps you opt for something more stylish that you can wear on the town. Either way, sandals always come in handy thanks to their comfort, style, and convenience.

Tennis Shoes

If comfort is at the top of your mind — and that’s likely to be the case if you’re traveling — be sure that you take a pair of tennis shoes with you on your next trip. These are a good choice at all times, ranging from when you’re walking to running to sitting on an airplane. Just as important is the fact that you can buy a high quality pair of tennis shoes for a reasonable price. In other words, you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for the comfort you deserve.

Ballerina Flats

This is where comfort, style, and flexibility come together. Yes, ballerina flats are comfortable, but at the same time you can pair them with many types of outfits. Add this to the fact that these come in a variety of styles, and you’re sure to realize that taking a pair on your next trip is in your best interest.

Clogs

Clogs are all about comfort and convenience. You can wear them in the car, on a plane, or to the beach — and that’s just the start. There are many styles of clogs to choose from, which makes them a good choice in almost every casual setting. If you’re looking for something that’s comfortable to travel in, regardless of where you’re going, you should always have clogs at or near the top of your shortlist.

Now that you know what types of shoes to travel with, it’s time to turn your attention to two details: packing and understanding when to wear what type of shoe.

You only have so much space: Since you can only pack so many pairs of shoes for your trip, search for those that are flexible enough to be worn for different occasions. This will save you space, which allows you to bring other items along.

It’s good practice to break in your shoes: If possible, take the time to break in your sandals before you leave for your trip. This reduces the risk of blisters, which can slow you down while traveling.

You’re likely to wear the same shoes over and over: You may have intentions of wearing different pairs of shoes on your trip, but soon find that this isn’t the case. Choose two or three of your favorite pairs and stick with those.

These are just a few of the smaller details that you may be overlooking as you consider what shoes to pack on your next trip. As long as you pack with comfort in mind, you can’t go wrong.
